I help artists, makers, and designers find a place for their business—and do well—on the internet.

My audience is creative,
business-minded, and curious.

About Me

Before becoming a full-time artist, I spent seven years working at Etsy, where I interacted with shop owners in all stages of the creative business lifecycle, from beginners listing their first products, to indie entrepreneurs managing employees and wholesale accounts.

I worked directly with shop owners, teaching them how to use the site, improve their shop, and grow their sales. I wrote educational material for Etsy sellers and Etsy employees, and helped define and implement site policies.

As Etsy's first Senior Maker Specialist, I spent countless hours researching creative processes and production channels, and discussing them with designers and makers.

I’ve followed the successes and failures of thousands of sellers on Etsy, and I draw on this experience to continue to guide creative business owners.

I left Etsy to dedicate myself to ceramics, and to teach. I live in Seattle, where I have a pottery studio, and I teach creative business classes in the US and abroad. More about me.
